THE 17TH Galway Early Music Festival runs from Thursday May 17 to Sunday 20 and this year’s festivities will open with a concert by the Cois Cladiagh Choir.

Promising to be a feast for the taste-buds, the Galway Food Festival has launched its programme of events which will help bring alive this taste-tastic festival taking place throughout Galway city and its environs during the Easter Bank Holiday weekend, from Friday April 6 to MondayApril 9.

The commissioning of the Pádraic Ó Conaire Monument, which stood for more than 70 years in Eyre Square and is now in the Galway City Museum, will be the subject of a public lecture.
